I have an HP-9000 series 500 with HP-UX 5.21 and Wollongong TCP/IP
as well as an HP-9000 model 375.  Most of the terminal ports are
on the 500 but the 375 is faster so people use it more via rlogin.
Mostly we are happy, but the response to a control-C is exceedingly
slow when a voluminous resonse to the screen is arriving:  the 
output to the screen just keeps on coming.  This is
very annoying and time consuming.

What steps can I take to cause the unwanted part of the
response to be discarded?
