Subject: Disabling COM ports on BEST 88/10

We have a Best 88/10 (8088, 10MHz clone) with two serial
ports on the motherboard. We are installing a lab interface
card with its own serial port which _must_ be com1. Is
there any way known to disable the on-board com ports or
otherwise reassign logical com ports to physical ports to
make this possible? There are no dip switches on the
motherboard.
 
Any help (software/hints etc) would be appreciated.
