 I don't know if this is the appropriate forum but...

 Other than price, are there any meaningful criteria when purchasing
ram chips when selecting the MANUFACTURER ? (Given size, speed, and
any other technical specs being equivalent). I've never seen articles
that deal with this. Is buying Japanese or American, given availability,
better or soes it depend on the individual supplier?
