My apologies to the net; I know that this subject has been discussed
recently but, as fate would have it, I didn't think that I would
need the info so did not read the messages.

Having said that, my question is whether I can have a both a 40 MB
IDE drive (WD I think) and a 20 MB ST506 type drive in my system.
I know that I cannot use the IDE adaptor to drive the 20 MB drive but
can both controllers coexist? If so, are there any things that I
should be aware of? I am running DOS3.3 on a '386 machine.
