What backup software saves the contents of a large (e.g. hard disk)
volume to multiple smaller volumes such that the files backed up on
the smaller volumes are readable by the finder?  This is a task I have
had to do often, and not just for backup of hard disks.  It is the task
of "spreading out" the files and folders in a "big" folder into several
folders, usually on floppies.

References or recommendations, please.
