The requirement is to use Quickmail to send / receive internet mail via the mainframe. The department concerned is on a low budget and can't afford to put all the Macs on ethernet. I'd appreciate answers to some questions: 1. what is the cheapest ethernet / localtalk link? 2. what software is needed for QuickMail to interface to TCP/IP? 3. what is the best setup for creating a mail / telnet server, given this hardware 4. can this stuff be bought mail order - if so where?
