Lines: 29 --- Hello all. I'm a relatively novice Mac user who's hoping some kind, knowledgeable soul out there will take pity on me and offer some much needed assistance... I use a Mac IIci, and have recently aquired ResEdit and Icon Colorizer. My question is : HOW DO I USE 'EM? I have the docs for Icon Colorizer, but that hasn't helped me much because they assume familiarity with ResEdit. I have no familiarity with ResEdit and no docs for it. Thus far, I have just done some minor playing around with it (changing names of menu items, etc.). What I want to do now is to pretty-up my desktop with lots of nice colorful icons for all my applications...but I can't seem to figure out how to do that... What I'm hoping someone can do is just give me a brief step by step guide of how to change (and colorize) desktop icons using these 2 programs. Beyond that, I'd also very much appreciate it if someone might e-mail me some documentation on how to use ResEdit. It's a powerful utility so far as I can tell and I'd like to get the most out of it, and hopefully learn more about how the Mac works in the process. Any help much appreciated... -Ray wilmott@remus.rutgers.edu
