Message-ID: Date: 21 Nov 90 17:11:06 GMT Sender: news@sdcc6.ucsd.edu Lines: 18 Nntp-Posting-Host: beowulf.ucsd.edu This may be a totally dumb question. I don't have my own NeXT. I use one that is set up for our department by a sysadmin who doesn't care much for the next. We have lots of Sparks and older Suns, but only one NeXT which a few of the enlightened ones use. So the question is this. What is the cost envolved in upgrading? Is it the kind of thing that I could just recommend that they get without worrying too much about the cost? If it's expensive I doubt that I could talk them into it since they already have a bit of an animousity towards the system. Of course, if it's a big enough improvement, maybe they could be talked into it on the basis of making the system easier to integrate into the Sun dominated network. -- ________________________________________________ <>___, / / | ... and he called out and said, "Gabriel, give | /___/ __ / _ __ ' _ / | this man an understanding of the vision." | /\__/\(_/\/__)\/ (_/_(/_/|_ |_______________________________________Dan_8:16_|
