We have several 3.3 diskless clients up now, and now I have a new question for anyone with 3.3 running who has seen random processes sporadically die with the message in SYSLOG: >Nov 11 13:16:24 daiju grcond[549]: CIO: WARNING: > Process cron (394) killed due to bad page read (errno:5) This occurs on a 3.3 diskless client (PI) getting its root/share/swap from a 3.3 server (4D-320-S). I have seen cron, emacs, FrameMaker, and a variety of other processes sporadically die on all my diskless clients running from this server (it's our only 3.3 server). When these errors occur, there is no indication of a problem on the server -- at least, no messages appear in the SERVER's SYSLOG, only the client's. Any clues/fixes that would help me? Many thanks in advance, Cliff --email to cliff@research.nec.com, thanks. Clifford B.
