There is a Kinetics Fast Box on the LAN and I have heard that KIP/CAP can be configured to allow the SUN to access the laserwriter. I have downloaded the kip from Stanford and the cap from Columbia. It seems that it is a very involved install. Is there ANYONE that has gotten this to work (i.e. to allow printing from the SUN to the laserprinter over the LAN? I am looking for a cheap way to do postscript printing (I already have transcript). Is there a better method to do this without spending more than $100-200? The laserwriter is located about 5 feet from the SUN but a toggle switch would be unpopular with all the PC and MAC owners. Examples of a working atalk.local and atalkatab configuration file (and the configuration used for the KBox) would be of great help to a non-guru user like me. However, any information would help.
