I'm new to metafont and am trying to get the EMTEX distribution 
running on my '286 XT.  I have the metafont book, but I cannot get the
examples which begin Chapter 5 to successfully "showit".  I know that
the program runs because I generated all the fonts for my Panasonic
KXP-1124 from the metafont source.
