I have setup a direct link using the /dev/tty00 device file according to the 
Ultrix documentation.  I am currently running 4.0 on a Decstation 3100.  My 
problem is in changing the protections on the device.  Whenever I change the 
protections such that the world can use "cu" to access the device, it seems
that "init" changes it back to its previous protection mask.  How can I make
my changes permanent?  Can someone enlighten me?
