Are you running your 8514 card with the vga drivers, I think from what I have seen under this situation you would be likely to get cvw on both displays. If this is the case, load the windows 8514 drivers, and make sure that you put the /8 switch on the cvw command line to tell it you have an 8514/vga setup.
