Now for the question: Is there any tool that "mimics" the functionality of the window manager, i.e. a set of functions that have the same names and interface as (some of) the functions in X Toolkit, Xlib, and some the widget library, but talk to a dumb terminal instead of a X server? I know it's a somewhat strange notion, but it must be possible to write such a library.
