Hi Grant: 
I am a longtime compuserve user and just signed up (because of price) to
Genie at the $4.95 per month plan.  Have you tried with speech the Aladdin
software which is an offline message reader for Genie?  I have been using
tapcis (the compuserve offline reader) for some time and think it is a great
moneysaver.  
Although tapcis doesn't write through the vios and is thus not interactive
with speech, it works justfine because all of your work is done offline and
windows for the speech package can be set up to facilitate things.

of messages and replying as well, but don't seem to be hearing from anyone. 
What? Nobody wants to talk to me? Gee whiz! Willie did say that something
was going wrong with the backbone in Pittsburgh when I talked to him at the
