Have you tried with speech the Aladdin software which is an offline message reader for Genie? I have been using tapcis (the compuserve offline reader) for some time and think it is a great moneysaver. Although tapcis doesn't write through the vios and is thus not interactive with speech, it works justfine because all of your work is done offline and windows for the speech package can be set up to facilitate things.
