A caller to my board questioned the cause of this disease, thinking that it might have a connection with nutrition. All I've been able to find out is that the disease is apparently an allergic reaction to some sort of cold virus or the antibodies that are produced to combat the cold virus. It is characterized by high fever, high white blood cell count, joint pain and red patches on the skin. Treatment seems to be cortisone drugs. Any information would be appreciated.
