Not so.  In fact, Jesus went as far as to say "without Me, you can do
nothing."  This is why the self-righteous (both religious and not) hated
Him.  How offensive!  To say that I am helpless like a child, why look at
me, I am perfectly able to do things myself!  Hey Jesus, maybe *you* need
*my* help, huh?  No way.  The offer of forgiveness and help is good news
to the poor and humble, but not may of the proud take His preaching too
well.  However, on judgement day, we will see who has been rich!!
