Nntp-Posting-Host: squid.cs.ucla.edu Archive-Number: 2757 I read a small artical in the Toronto Star on Friday, November 15, 1990 which carried some good news for us up here in Canada. Basically what it said was that Federal Court of Appeal has ruled that employers cannot discriminate against workers with AIDS or the virus associated with it. This is great news for me, because I started a new job about eight months ago, and it appears that AZT will soon be available from regular pharmacies. Until now, because it is still in the trial stages it was available only from the hospital and the cost of it was picked up by the government. There is a great possibility that when it goes into regular circulation in the corner pharmacie, the government will not pick up the tab anymore. I was concerned that if I tried to claim it on my drug plan at work that they would put two and two together and find a reason to get rid of me. Now with this new ruling from the Federal Courts I feel a little more secure about it.
