On a related note, I recently toured the NASA Stines Center in Mississippi where NASA tests & certifies the shuttle engines. The buildings that housed the test facilities for the Saturn engines are still there, but they have long since been converted for other uses. The second stage test building now houses a rather deep water tank that is used to test sensors used in ocean research.
