Lines: 26 Text Based databases I am trying to implement a departmental database that would be used for maintaining student, staff, course, accounts and other information. This is to be implemented under unix (SunOS). Most users of this database would also require to manipulate information using the standard unix filters such as awk, grep and sed. Hence the data files would need to be standard ascii text files with no control information (other than field delimiters) in it. Does any one know of such a product (or something similar). If any sources are available (public domain), it would save me a lot of trouble. Thanks in advance.
