We are very short of disk space.  We are building a system with
only one small ingres database for use by 3-5 users.  Can we do
any of the following to free up disk space:

1.  limit the space allocated by the createdb command?
2.  shrink the size of iidbdb - since it has very little to track? 
3.  reduce the size of the log file to < 4096?
4.  something else?
