Century Lines: 36 Does any kind soul out there have either gcc and/or g++ compiled and working for the 386 Unix? As long as it is a System V.3 derivative (not System V.4) then it will run on my machine. I have SCO UNIX V3.2.2 and I have tried messing with the COFF (three different version of COFF) and could never get it going. I do have gcc running, but I use the native as and ld programs (so this is not so important) but I could never get the g++ going because it needs to have gas and gld. The code compiles, but it never runs. It gives errors on function prototypes in a header (stdio.h): int rename(char *old, char *new); ^^^^ /usr/include/stdio.h:154:parse error before `new' I would prefer the binaries directly, but if someone has actually gotten it working, if you could be kind enough to send me the steps, including where you got your files, I would be in your debt. I am not adverse to doing the work myself, but all the work I have done has been for naught. Thank you very much for any help/information you can give me! The followups to this posting are going to /dev/null because I am sure enough bandwidth has been wasted on this particular topic, and I would prefer things in e-mail. I PROMISE to distribute anything I get to anyone who also has these type of problems (as long as you ask me in e-mail to include you :) Please be sure to use the address below (off of uunet) and if you are on an internet site, then uunet.uu.net!telxon!.... will work (soon I will be getting registered but that will not take place for a couple of weeks). -- Gordon. -- Gordon C.
