Can mush create a "my_hdr" based on the user's login directory?

The problem is that userids are truncated to 8 letters on such machines,
but home directories contain the full userid; for example, one of my
accounts is "mskucher" while its login directory is "/u/mskucherawy".
I'd like to have mush create the my_hdr "Reply-To: mskucherawy" based
on the directory.

Also, how can news be set up to use mush instead of ucbmail for replying to
postings?
