The consoles of Gordon's virtual console are a good starting point for such terminal emulation. They already know about the most used escape sequences of a VT100. I included some small extra things so that now the [?... sequences and the #... sequences, which cannot be interpreted properly, are not displayed on the console (thus less rubbish on the screen). Also I made the SI en SO characters disappear from the screen. These are all quick hacks, as I only wanted to get rid of rubbish, the good things are in already. I use my Minix system to log in on a VAX under VMS :-( at work, and there I work with All-in-1, the office automation programme :-(, which doesn't know about non-DEC terminals, and therefore assumes you have at least a VT100. With my adapted console.c I can at least have a reasonable display. If one is interested just let me know, but don't expect something nice: it is just a few hacks. I know Fred van Kempen has in his NLMug version of Minix also a good keyboard (with VT100 function keys). That is another improvement I think will be a good step forward (I haven't ask a copy yet). If anyone outthere _does_ have a good VT100 emulator: I am as interested as Wayne (at work there's nothing but VMSes). Hoping to hear from someone with a real VT100 emulator, met vriendelijke groeten, Wim 'Blue Baron' van Dorst -- --------------------------------------------------------------------- Blue Baron = Wim van Dorst, Voice (+31) 074-443937, (+31) 02152-42319 (-: baron@wiesje.hobby.nl tgcpwd@urc.tue.nl :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------
