Or you could use PutImage. But in either case you have to get your font data. If you have an image scanner, you could get the font data directly from a French publication. Also try to get font data from netter in French (They might have). I strongly doubt there is any .CHR file for other languages (Personally I am interested in getting .CHR file for Russian alphabet), but there definately exist a lot of French font files for French word-processing and printers.
