Every time I try to mount a filesystem from my DOS client to the 386/SX as a user, the authentication fails and the filesystem is not mounted. On the 386/SX I am using the WIN TCP/IP package and the NFS package provided by AT&T. My DOS clients are using PC/TCP from FTP Software, Inc. I can mount a filesystem from my DOS clients to the 386/SX by by-passing the authentication using the user name of 'nobody'. I can also mount a filesystem from my DOS clients to a SUN server as a user with no problem. Has anyone been able to mount a filesystem from a DOS client to a 386/SX running the above as a user? I think that it might be something to do with the password or shadow password file. Any help would be greatly welcomed. Thanks in advance!
