Both questions are about the A500 hardware. I have an A500 with the A501 memory expansion, and a Trumpcard 500 enclosure. Here are the questions: 1. The clock in the A501 has an intermittent problem with dropping the first digit of the time of day. What I mean by that is if the actual time is 5 pm (17:00), the board would set the time at boot up to 7 am (07:00). In other words, when the problem happens the clock is ten hours behind the actual time. There isn't any trouble _finding_ the clock, and it doesn't happen every time. It usually gets it right rather than screwing up, but I'd like to get this working right if it's not some major problem. Has anybody else had this happen or know the cause/cure? 2. How many watts does the "brick" power supply of the A500 provide? And on a related note, how many watts do the "heavy duty" power supplies I see advertised by the mailorder houses provide? I'm sure the different ones available will have different numbers, but give me some idea. I've heard that the power supply in the A500 is underpowered, and that you can burn it out without too much effort. I haven't had any trouble with this one in the year that I've had it (bought the A500 last December). That's it. Two simple questions that I simply don't have the answers to. :-) RT Down with long .sig files!
