I did just that with a 2091 controller and a hardframe controller without any problems. I don't know if it was just dumb luck that it worked without having to pay attention to the actual device number but I've done this twice with so far with my hardframe and different 2091 controllers. The one thing I did do was use the hd utility to name one hd as PH0: since the hd one my other controller was already DH0:. I think I remember problems if you have two drives with the same name. After copying the files you can safely rename PH0: back to DH0: if you want. This info is written only to the rigid disk block. Just don't change anything else like partition size or you may lose files! -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- AFIT Amiga Users BBS/UFGateway |Eric Sanders - via FidoNet node 1:110/300 1:110/300 Dayton, Ohio |UUCP: afitamy!210!Eric.Sanders (513)-252-7681 |ARPA: Eric.Sanders@f210.n110.z1.FIDONET.ORG ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
