Today I went to lunch with an aixterm opened to an RS6000. When I came back, the RS6000 had crashed and the Xapollo server was in a runaway state consuming 100% of the cpu. I was able to do a dspst from another node and a crp (just once). After that, even crps and logins failed. This DN3500 is a gateway and it wouldn't even route packets. I had to do a reset. Hitting the process limit was not the problem. This is the first time I've ever had the Xapollo server go nuts. Has anyone else seen this sort of behavior? *************************************************************************** * Charlie McGuire | INTERNET: mcguire@math.uiowa.edu * * Systems Programmer | mcguire@cs.uiowa.edu * * Computer Science Dept. | * * The University of Iowa | PHONE: (319) 335-2730 * ***************************************************************************
