Yup, sure enough, I just pulled out a black and a color Imagewriter ribbon.
The color one does have a little stud thingie on its lower side, so yes,
a sensor on the ribbon carrier could tell from this stud-thingie that it's
a color one.

Now, maybe this new driver will actually print in the right colors?

My Imagewriter II is a little giddy, thinks that red is blue for some
reason.
