Hello,
	Has anyone ever been able to get info off a TK50 with a parity
error at the begining of tape? (block 1) DEC says this is impossible but the
person I spoke to didn't seem very well seasoned.

I'm willing to open the tape and use a pair of scissors if necessary. 
Running vms 5.3-2.
