TI introduced the 99/44A and would not tell other companies how to make cartridges for it, but required that they license TI to sell their program. In effect, this left companies that wanted to make software for the 99/44A to let a large company make most of the money - if there was that much to be made - and not allow them to decide how to market their program. Sellers stayed far, far away from this strict requirement and as a result the 99?/44A is 99 44/100% dead [nice pun there].. Then they release a PC computer which is intentionally non-compatible. Not a good idea. They lost money on that, too. - --- Opus-CBCS 1.14 * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Md - 301-622-2247 (1:109/417.0) ------------------------------ Date: 11-23-90 (08:01) To: ALL Subject: MISC FORSALE From: DON MARQUART Rainbow floor stand $20 DEC MiniExchange, serial port router $50 Suitable Solutions IBM character ROM for the RB $20 100B memory board adapter.
