Sean, To the best of my knowledge, all AT&T PC6300's have a clock/calendar on the motherboard. Perhaps your friend's machine needs a new battery? (Is the machine an old "standard" PC6300, or a newer 6300 WGS? I don't think it matters, but I'm not as familiar with the newer WGS series.) -- Keith -- | W.
