 "Just do it".  GEnie will refund your money if
you're not satisfied in the first month (they will
refund the $4.95, that is!  Not the money you spend
in RT's, etc).  
 
I find the thing worth it just for the email.  heh,
sending files and having long discussions is fun.
Can't beat usenet tho'.
