These fonts might have more accurate font metric information than the fonts you are working with, especially for italics, bolds, and bold italics. Also, be sure you don't have any "font substitution" going on when you go to print (make sure this box is not checked). If fonts are substituted, you are certain to get such bizarre results, since the widths are different.
