I have noticed, of late, that mouse-up events have apparently been
disappearing on my IIsi.

E.g.,
(i) I click a button, it highlights, I let go.  When I move the mouse
in and out of the button it highlights/unhighlights appropriately as
if I still have the button down.
(ii) I click in a piece of text to locate the cursor.  When I move
the mouse, the text highlights following the mouse as though I still
have the button down.

Does this sound like a mouse switch going bad?
