The same software for the IIsi (or lC) sound input device will probably not work *entirely well* with the Farallon MacRecorder because of the MacRecorder's driver implements the StopRecording command poorly. In essence, the MacRecorder will stop sampling with its internal buffer if issued a StopRecording command. This means you'll have to restart everything the next time you need to record, and keep track with your own internal buffers. The IIsi and LC setup avoids this problem entirely by continuing to sample after a StopRecording; it just doesn't keep or transfer the data. You have to have two software versions...one for Apple, and one for Farallon devices. Dumb.
