I have a set of GIF files sitting in my UNIX directory and I would like to be able to view them on my Mac. How does one go about converting the files to a Mac readable format? So far, I have tried receiving them as text, then using StuffIt 1.5.1 to extract them. I have tried running it through BinHex 4.0 and then trying to read it through SuperPaint. Nothing has worked. Do you need a special program to view them, and are there special procedures to be followed when downloading them? If you need a special viewer program, is there a good one available via FTP? From where? If not, what should I do to extract these files? Please help! -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sanjiv Sarwate EMAIL: sarwate@ux1.cso.uiuc.edu "But what is truth? Is truth unchanging law?
