The Mac can have pretty much as many cursors as you'd like. It supports 5 "standard" cursors: arrow i-beam (used when editing text) cross (for graphics--also shows up in the Control Panel) plus (a bulky cross cursor--for selecting cells in spreadsheets, etc) watch (for waiting) You can create your own cursors for use by an application you've written (As an example).
