I sure can't figure out how to do that. The -edit option looked quite promising, but it refuses to work. When I specify -edit I receive a warning message: $ f77 -edit access.f f77: Warning: -edit ignored for background compile in non-X environment ^C Thinking it might have to do with the fact I use ksh, I tried again after invoking csh, but received the same warning message. Nor could I find an explanation for the various compiler warning messages I was seeing when attempting to compile a large Fortran program. (There is only an explanation for runtime error messages in the f77 manual.) Thanks in advance for any advice.
