I see Klaus Kusche's arguments, but since source concerning Transputers are difficult to find I will make the following suggestion. Why are people not putting these things onto anonymous ftp-servers. And every one who has access to the Internet can ftp a copy. Of course a copy on ftp servers on both sides of the Atlantic ocean would be great. By the way there is currently a bandwidth of at least (1.5 MBit/sec Cern, 2 x 64 kBit/sec Germany, 1 x 64 kBit/sec Sweden, 1 x 64 kBit/sec UK, 1 x 64 kBit/sec, Netherlands, etc ... ) a couple on 100 kBit/sec to the US ArpaNet available, but there are cross connections on the European side missing. (Many European users can reach Cern only through a router in Cornell. I hope that the EC will help solve these problems in the future.)
