To get the version you are using type "VER". If it is ver 3.3 or 4.0, enter the command "Machine ?". This will return all machine commands. If a modem is not installed it will not return "Machine MODEM [on][off]". The Machine command also works on desktops to control the speed. This is my first posting to this group but I have bein reading for about six months. I try to read msgs at least once a week. Robert Knoebel
