I purchased an internal modem and installed it in my computer. However to my dismay, I cannot run the modem out of COM1 or COM2. I am currently running it out of COM3. This causes some problems with some software that is exclusively written for COM1 and COM2 ports. I tried to change the interrupt channels for the modem but that did not work. My computer came packaged with Windows and a mouse and the mouse runs on COM2. I have not pursued this lately since this just came to my mind as I was reading news today. If anyone has any ideas, drop me E-mail. Thanx alot Thomas Grein
