Two things...

First, we would like to borrow :-) a routine to convert from ASCII date and
time to SVR3 UNIX time (i.e., time in seconds since 1/1/1970 GMT).

Second, we would like to thank everyone who gave us information on reading
keyboard input while doing a blocking read on a SVR3 message queue.  If anyone
is interested in a summary of the responses, send me mail.  If there is general
interest, I'll post.
