Message-ID: <5G`^#X=@rpi.edu> Date: 27 Nov 90 08:26:57 GMT Organization: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY Lines: 17 Nntp-Posting-Host: iear.arts.rpi.edu I have noticed that wuarchive.wustl.edu has an archive o BSD 4.3-Tahoe-Reno source (kernel and all) and it contains info for i386 and other systems. It would be nice to install a BSD system, on my 386, and as I have some knowledge of how to go about compiling it, there is one simple problem..I have never dealt with installing a boot. It is easy enough to get my SCSI Wren formatted for BSD, but how to instal l an i386 boot? The filesystem I "think" is very different from Sys V, and would require a bit of low level work in getting one made by hand. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should look, or just give it up completely...
