I am running win3 on an old 6/8 Mhz 286 with 2 Mb RAM. I've been having a problem with Ami Pro in that when I click on the Display Preferences option my computer totally hangs requiring a cold boot. I have been screwing around with my win.ini, my installed options under Ami Pro, my config.sys, my device drivers, etc for over a month when yesterday I accidently hit the switch to slow the computer down to 6 Mhz. Presto, everything works fine! What a drag, to have a program that won't work properly at 8 Mhz but works fine at 6 Mhz. Everything now works but it draws the windows so slowly it almost looks like the computer is stoned. -- Chaim Dworkin (chaim@eniac.seas.upenn.edu)
