When I run xlsfonts, I see -adobe-times-medium-r-normal--10-100-75-75-p-54-iso8859-1 -adobe-times-medium-r-normal--12-120-75-75-p-64-iso8859-1 and -monotype-bembo-medium-i-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1 which tells me that even though both fonts are based on scalable outline fonts, the font machinery will comply if I ask for Bembo-25 Times-Roman-25 -monotype-bembo-medium-i-normal--25-0-0-0-p-0-iso8859-1 but not when I ask for -adobe-times-medium-r-normal--25-120-75-75-p-64-iso8859-1 Why isn't there a zero sized version of -adobe-times listed? Does the server simply not list a zero sized version of anything it has bitmap instances of, or is something more interesting going on? -- Michael
