My vroot.h header file also did a good job at getting xpostit to work again under tvtwm. It is a general quick fix to many programs that fail to work under tvtwm in their original form. It currently works well with xwd, xprop, xplaces, xpostit, xphoon, xaqua, xfroot, etc. The problems with xwd and xprop (only reporting non-sticky windows) seem to have gone away with the recent tvtwm patch4. I put vroot.h in ~ftp/contrib on expo.lcs.mit.edu. -- Andreas Stolcke International Computer Science Institute stolcke@icsi.Berkeley.EDU 1957 Center St., Suite 600, Berkeley, CA 94704 (415) 642-4274 ext. 126
