Keywords: G++ InterViews X GNU PROBLEM Message-ID: <1990Nov26.230856.6555@wam.umd.edu> Date: 26 Nov 90 23:08:56 GMT Sender: usenet@wam.umd.edu (USENET Posting) Followup-To: comp.windows.x Organization: University of Maryland at College Park Lines: 32 HELP!!!!!!!!!!! I've managed to successfully install the X release on my Sun386i using Gcc. Recently I obtained G++ and installed it as well with no problems. Now I'm trying to use G++ to compile InterViews on this machine, and guess what, it won't work. It all goes along fine until I try to compile the iv/src/libInterViews/X11-* files. They all give me an error saying that the prototypes in the Interviews iv/src/Interviews/X11/Xlib.h file having conflicting types with the previous /usr/include/X11/Xlib.h file. I've looked at these two files all day, and I can't see anything different. Maybe I'm just dense, but has anyone out there managed to get this combination to work properly?? My configuration is as follows: Sun386i running SunOS 4.0.2 G++ v1.37.0 InterViews 2.5 (came with the X11 r4 distribution tapes) Any help would be appreciated, either via email or posting (I read these groups at least daily). Thanx in advance.....
