My systems were: ISC: 386/ix + Thomas Roell X Server SUN: Sun 3/160 + Openwindows 2.0 PC3: 386 pc + Hummingbird eXceedplus I have now gotten the Sun and the 386pc talking. However, the 386/ix continues to refuse to authorize any connections. After some continuned futzing I discovered that ISC> xterm -display "ISC:0" fails with the error 'Error: Can't open display' while the command ISC> xterm -display "unix:0" works as expected. My guess then is that something is incorrectly configured such that TCP/IP connections cannot be made to the Thomas Roell X server. Any ideas what might be wrong? Thanks in advance. <> Brian Litzinger @ APT Technology Inc., San Jose, CA <> brian@apt.bungi.com {apple, sun, pyramid}!daver!apt!brian <> <> "For it is the doom of men that they forget." - Merlin
